The popularity of Internet not only brings high efficiency and convenience to people's life,but also brings negative impact that can not be ignored.Junior high school students are in the stage of adolescence,which is an important period of forming and developing their unique self.Facing the complex network,do not have good discrimination ability,they are easy to indulge in the network and cause serious psychological and physiological damage to themselves.Previous studies have shown that there is a significant negative correlation between self-control and Internet addiction tendency,as well as a certain correlation between self-acceptance and Internet addiction.At present,there are few researches focus on the relationship among self-control,self-acceptance and Internet addiction,and the mechanism among them has not been fully explored.Therefore,it is of great theoretical significance and practical value to study the relationship and mechanism of the three.In this study,493 students from a Junior high school in Anqing city were selected as the research objects,and Self-Control Scale,Self-Acceptance Scale and Pathological Internet Use Scale were used in the test to study the impacts of self-control and self-acceptance on Internet addiction of junior high school students and its action mechanism.The results show as following.(1)The ability of self-control and self-acceptance of junior high school students are above the average level,while the addiction of Internet of junior high school students is below the average level.(2)There are significant differences in the self-control of junior high school students based on grades,electronic devices commonly used for surfing the Internet,and the frequency of Internet use every week;Regarding self-acceptance,there are significant differences based on the types of families they are from;While regarding Internet addiction,there are significant differences based on grades,electronic equipment commonly used for Internet and the frequency of weekly use of Internet.(3)There is a significant positive correlation between self-control and self-acceptance of junior high school students;While there is a significant negative correlation among self-control,self-acceptance and Internet addiction.(4)The self-control of junior high school students plays an intermediary role between self-acceptance and Internet addiction.The above results show that the better ability of self-control,the lower possibility of Internet addiction;The worse degree of self-acceptance,the easier it is for Internet addiction;Self-acceptance indirectly affects Internet addiction through self-control.
