Written on the basis of the textbook, synchronous reading is a kind of reading material that extends the key learning point in textbooks. In this case, students are able to acquire the knowledge of textbooks in class, and read the texts related to textbooks after class so as to increase the amount of language input, which is conducive to Chinese language learning.Synchronous reading offers organic linking between in-class reading and after-class reading. At present, however, most students only have textbooks. There is a lack of supplementary reading materials in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. In view of this situation, writing and compiling synchronous reading materials for students is badly needed. The innovative point of the thesis lies in writing and compiling synchronous reading materials at HSK level 1 and level 2 catered to Feiyue Chinese for learners taking Spanish as their native tongue, which puts the concept of “knowledge tension and pleasurable reading” into practice. The synchronous reading materials offer the opportunity for new words in each lesson in the textbook to reappear. When reading interesting stories, students can transfer and expand the key new words learned in previous class in a relatively natural and authentic context. Thus, they can understand the word shape and meaning in a better way, which assists them to know how to use new words in a new context and gradually cultivate language thinking ability. The thesis mainly summarizes the author's train of thought on writing and compiling synchronous reading materials, and presents the data and feedbacks of the investigation.Synchronous reading materials consist of six modules: Chinese pinyin, reading texts, glossary notes,Chinese culture knowledge, exercises, singing and playing. The content of each module which is arranged step by step with delicate illustrations inserted in the text has corresponding writing principles.Synchronous reading are discussed by using an online Chinese text evaluation to verify the readability of the text, handing out questionnaires to students and interviewing with teachers in order to issue the actual needs of users. The results show that texts in synchronous reading are moderate to read and the overall evaluation of synchronous reading from students and teachers are quite good.Through data analysis, conclusions can be drawn as follows:1.Students are willing to read the story texts that are close to actual life, interesting, and matching their age.2.Incorporating new words from textbooks into reading texts can effectively help students consolidate the recognition of words.3.The vivid and lively Chinese culture knowledge which is closely related to reading texts is popular among students.4.Delicate illustrations can increase the interest of reading materials and help students quickly understand the content of reading texts.5.The combination of fixed-type exercises and variable-type exercises can keep students engaged while they are doing exercises.6.There are six kinds of reasons for students making mistakes when they do exercises, such as : incorrect judgment of details, incorrect understanding of stems, incorrect replacement of words, disguised replacement of concept, misunderstanding of vocabularies and incorrect inference of sentence meaning. The error rate of inference of sentence meaning is the highest.Last but not least, the thesis objectively analyzes the merits and demerits of synchronous reading materials, and puts forward some specific suggestions for each section of synchronous reading texts. The research is expected to fill the gap in the lack of synchronous reading books in Peru's Confucius Institute, and thus it can be served as a reference in writing and compiling Chinese synchronous reading materials.
