| The study of Chinese characters is the important part of learning Chinese as a second language,and the important standard to observe and measure the level of the Chinese learner.Chinese characters contain shapes,sounds and semantics,it is well known to us that the Chinese characters are hard to write,to read and to recognize.In teaching Chinese as a foreign language,how to get the good teaching effect,the study in teaching methods has become inevitable.The history of Chinese characters is very long,if we trace to the source,to introduce the Initial situation when Chinese characters came into being to the Chinese learner,analyse the foundation of pictographs,associative compounds,associative compounds and pictophonetic in the development of Chinese characters,and to make the learner get the reason.Then could we increase the interest in learning Chinese characters? Could we strengthen their ability to get Chinese characters? The etymology teaching method of Chinese characters should be worth trying and exploring for us.Up till the present moment,Boya Chinese is a kind of textbook with a high degree of acceptation in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.Therefore,we choose the new words in the Boya Chinese intermediate and advanced level textbooks as the research material,and combine with the actual situation of Chinese learners in colleges and universities,to study etymology teaching method of Chinese characters of these new words.I will try my best to provide reasonable suggestions,and for the better education of our career of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. |
