Research On The Current Situation Of Square Dance In The Central District Of Xinyang City

With the continuous improvement of the quality of life,people gain a better understanding of health.Mass sports,with its effect of body-building and mood-relaxing,are springing up rapidly.City Square is a place where people gather for entertainment and leisure,so square culture emerges as the times require,and has become a unique cultural form in China.As a new type of popular sport,square dance is still in its infancy and its theoretical foundation is relatively weak.There is no unified definition for square dance.Through the research on the development of square dance in the central district of Xinyang City,this paper aims at providing services for the healthy development of square dance in Xinyang City,improving the physical and mental health level of residents in Xinyang City,promoting the economic development of Xinyang City and building a harmonious society.This paper mainly uses the methods of questionnaire,field investigation,interview,documentary data,mathematical statistics to study the current situation and constraints of square dance activities in the central district of Xinyang City.The conclusions are as follows:(1)The main purposes of square dance participants in the central district of Xinyang City include strengthen their body,prevent and treat diseases;the participants are mainly middle-aged women,so there are age and gender imbalance problems.(2)Most of the organizers of square dance are middle-aged and old women.Their main purpose of organizing square dance activities is to exercise,have fun and make friends.Most of them have more than one-year experience in organizing such activities.The organizers volunteer to teach dance movements and purchase equipment,but few of them participate in training or obtain coach certificates.(3)The organizer is responsible for the management of the square dance team in the central district of Xinyang City,but there is a lack of communication between the organizers and the participants,and the relevant departments of the education and Sports Bureau pay insufficient attention to the training of the square dance organizers.(4)The sites of the square dance in the central district of Xinyang City are mainly in the park,square,community open space.There is no exclusive square dance venue.Some of the venues are wet and slippery,with poor sanitation and inadequate lighting and audio facilities.(5)There is a lack of relevant system for the organization and management of square dance in the central district of Xinyang City.Problems such as competing for venues,playing music loudly to interfere with each other are prominent.In view of the existing problems,this paper draws on the relevant mature experience,and finally puts forward the following suggestions: promote the diversified development of square dance,attract participants of different ages and genders;organize systematic training,improve the comprehensive ability of organizers;the government attaches great importance to the development of square dance,enrich the publicity channels;add special funds,ensure the hardware conditions of fitness activities;improve the quality of square dance practitioners,and promote the harmonious development of square dance activities.
