Into The White Night is the masterpiece of Japanese mystery novelist Higashino Keigo's.As a mystery novel with the characteristics of modernism,the antagonism between people and society,the indifference between people and the doubt of self-worth aroused the interest of scholars.At present,the research on it presents a rich and diversified trend,but there are few research achievements in spatial narration.Using spatial narrative theory in this paper based on a close reading of the text from the physical space,social space and text space to read Into The White Night,aims to illustrate the use of space narrative skill of Higashino Keigo's detective novels popular role,and to dig into the work involved in a series of social problems and human nature.This paper first analyzes the physical space of Into The White Night and the relationship between Japanese society and cultural ethics represented by the physical space;Secondly,it analyzes the social space of Into The White Night and the influence and changing effect of social space on characters' image and destiny;Then it explores the text space of Into The White Night,the intricate narrative sequence and the function of the constantly changing narrative perspective in the text space to render and enhance the suspense color of the whole story;Finally,the paper discusses the mutual transformation between imaginary space and real space in Higashino Keigo's creation,thus forming a dialectical and unified relationship between fiction and reality,time and space,which constitutes the unique charm of Higashino Keigo's detective novels.From the perspective of spatial narration to study of Into The White Night not only expands the research horizon of Higashino Keigo's mystery novels,but also provides new research materials for the development of spatial narration.
