Research on Liu Rengong family in Liao Jin periodAt the end of Tang Dynasty and Five Dynasties,Liu rengong's family members went north to official Liao.After the Liao and Jin Dynasties changed,their descendants turned to official Jin again.Based on the unearthed epitaphs and the handed down documents,this paper explores the lineage,official status and marriage of Liu rengong's family members across the Liao and Jin Dynasties,And further analyze the interaction between the descendants of Liu Rengong's family and the Liao and Jin regime.Liu Shouqi,the son of Liu rengong,descended to Liao in 907,the first year of the emperor Taizu of Liao Dynasty,laying the foundation for his descendants in Liao and Jin.According to the existing unearthed epitaphs and related documents,on the basis of the research of the predecessors,the family members are mainly divided into three families: Liu Chengdie,Liu Chengfang? and Liu Chengsi.The descendants of Liu rengong's family in the Liao Dynasty mostly served as military generals,which can be called the family of military generals,and the way of transfer is mostly favor and military skills,etc.;the family members are mostly men of both culture and martial arts,and their family political power reached its peak in the middle of the Liao Dynasty.After the Liao and Jin Dynasties,the descendants of their families laid the foundation of official gold with military achievements.In the Jin Dynasty,the descendants of the later generations were officials by virtue of benevolence and military achievements,and officials by means of imperial examinations and special grants.In the Jin Dynasty,the family still had a higher social status.By examining the economic strength of Liu rengong's family,we can see that its economic strength is strong and positively related to its political status.The economic situation is mainly manifested in food,clothing,housing,transportation and gifts.In marriage,on the one hand,they married with the rulers of Liao and Jin Dynasties to consolidate their family power in the dynasty;on the other hand,they married with families of comparable strength to maintain their family status.Through the analysis of the interaction between the descendants of Liu rengong's family and Liao Jin regime,it can be seen that the rulers of Liao and Jin Dynasties tried to win over the power of Liu's family in order to consolidate the rule and stabilize the social order.Liu rengong family seized the favorable opportunity of Liao and Jin social development,stepped into the official career and developed the family power,thus occupying the important bureaucratic status of Liao and Jin Dynasties.In addition,the political status of the family is consolidated through marriage.Finally,the Liu family was deeply influenced by the traditional culture of Confucianism,which was in accordance with the basic state policy of the rulers of Liao and Jin Dynasties.
