| The liao dynasty was a multi-ethnic regime established by the khitan people,and the khitan people and the han people were the most influential groups among many ethnic groups in the liao dynasty.To explore the connection between the ethnic policies of rulers in non-han dynasties and the rise and fall of han families is helpful to understand their relevant ethnic policies,as well as the mentality,status and role of the han people,which is of typical significance for the development and integration of various ethnic groups.This paper aims to make a comprehensive and systematic illustration on the official career,the marriage and the family learning of the Lv family in Lugu during Liao and Jin dynasties by analyzing the unearthed epitaph stone carvings together with the relevant literature.The objects are to investigate the reasons for the longevity of the family by,to the greatest extent,restoring the overall appearance of this Han official family and furtherly,to deepen the understanding of the history in Liao and Jin dynasties.This paper is divided into three parts,the introduction,the text and the conclusion.The introduction involves fields like the purpose and the significance of this paper,the research status as well as the research methods and innovations,which is set to lay foundations for the text.The text is divided into four chapters.The first chapter is about the family lineage study of Lv family in Lugu during Liao and Jin dynasties.At present,there are nine generations of the Lv family that can be investigated,which,here,is divided into the Lv Demao Party and the Lv Defang Party.Represented by those outstanding figures as Lv Demao,Lv Shizong,Lv Siyan and others,the descendants of the Lv family are active from Liao dynasty to Jin dynasty.The second chapter mainly tells the official career of Lv family in Lugu during Liao and Jin dynasties.After the Lv family moved to Yan,they had been working in the field until the middle of the Liao dynasty when the members of the second generation of the Lv family,Lv Demao and Lv Defang,took part in the imperial examinations as grassroots and became important officials in the imperial court,which laid a magnificent foundation for the rise of the Lv family.Later,more and more family members went on the official career by taking part in the imperial examinations.From generation to generation,it gradually finished its identification transformation to become the official family.The third chapter mainly focuses on the marriage of the Lv family in Lugu during Liao and Jin dynasties.Searching the history,it is easy to find that the Lv family always chose to marry with aristocratic families with big influence.The marriage objects involved ten families which totally had nine different family names.It had allied with the Hans in An Ci for seven times.These family intermarriages and political helps played a positive role in the expansion of the family prestige as well as enhancing and stabilizing the political status of the Lv family.The fourth chapter is about the family learning of the Lv family in Lugu during Liao and Jin dynasties.The Lv family has been keen on learning for generations.The much more attention paid on culture and manners as well as the respect of Confucianism is the key factor that makes the Lv family flourishes.During the changing from Liao to Jin,the member of the fifth generation of the Lv family,Lv Siyan grasped the opportunity and laid the foundation for the development of the whole family in Jin dynasty.Subsequently,the successor of him inherited the family tradition and realized the family revival.The conclusion,on the basis of summarizing the whole paper,concludes the characteristics of the existence and the development of the Lv family in Lugu who had been prominently located in Yan for more than one hundred years,and discusses the reasons for its longevity.As for its long time prosperity,the imperial examination,marriage as well as the family culture,which acted as the link of the whole family,played a vital role in the development of the Lv family. |
