Research On Social Life Of Women In XI XIA Dynasty

As an important part of society,women play an indispensable role in social production and life.In ancient Chinese traditional society,the focus of women’s life often centered on marriage and family,and it was an important duty for women to take care of husband and children,serve the elders and take care of the family.However,women’s social relations and social life were not limited to this.XIXIA women participated in many aspects of social life,not only in political life,management of state affairs,but also in social production and handicraft industry,playing a variety of economic roles.The doughtiness quality makes the tangut women brave and good at fighting.In addition,tangut women frequently participated in buddhist activities,built temples,built pagodas,printed buddhist sutras,and promoted the development of Buddhism in Xixia.The social life of Xixia women is diverse and colorful.Compared with han women,tangut women are restricted by the thought of ritual system and the standard of women’s morality,but the social limitations of tangut women are obviously less than han women.The reason is that in the process of socialization of the migration and development of the party nationality,the clan tribe turns to a nation,the national tradition inherited by the party nationality conflicts with the surrounding cultural forms,and the open and free spirit of the nomads collides and merges with the ideology and culture of the central plains.At the same time of completing the social transformation,Xixia extensively absorbed han culture,and then deeply influenced the social life of Xixia people.The social life of women in the Xixia also presented unique characteristics.
