Global history includes two kinds of theory. The first one is Wallersteini's“Modern World-System Theory”,and it divides the whole world into three parts on the basis of division of labor, including core, periphery and semi-periphery.The second one is “Global history”,which emphasizes interaction and connection. But these two kinds of narratives both have their own flaws, the former overemphasizes its world system and ignores internal factors in place themselves. At the same time global history values interaction and connection,it inevitably neglects uniqueness and diversity among places.Local history lists two narrations, which are Human Geography and Regional History. The former pays more attention to emotional attachment between people and places.Regional History values local speciality and connection between small place and large place.Local history also has its disadvantage,in which exists a tendency toward fragmentization.Since both global history and local history have their own limitations,a new situation of "Global Local History" began to emerge in the 21 st century.Roughly,it includes two schools:glocality, portal of globalization and relevant historical practices.Under global history,The relationship between global historical narrative values wholeness and local history that values particularity and diversity is complex. The global historical narrative impacts the local historical narrative but enhances it on the other hand. The local historical narrative not only caters to the global history, but also departs from it to some extent. It is important to note that these two absolutely are not opposite, and the global historical narrative should be based on respect for the local one.
