The Connection And Heritage Significance Of Local Operas And Chinese National Vocal Music-by Learning A Selection Of Jiangxi Opera The Peony Pavilion

“Opera,that is,to tell a story with songs and dances”.Opera belongs to the category of performing arts.Chinese national vocal music,which is based on Chinese opera,folk songs and arts of talking and singing,combining the western singing style,is becoming a new form of singing performance loved by the masses.The national vocal music is inherited and developed from the opera music.Jiangxi opera,as a special type of opera music in Jiangxi province,has a unique Jiangxi style by using Jiangxi dialect and integrating high tune,strumming and other tunes.As a child of Jiangxi red earth,I would love to add some new ways and methods to the theoretical study of local opera by learning and singing Full of Blooming Flowers——a selection of the Jiangxi opera The Peony Pavilion,hoping to solve the problems in performing and improve singing skills of Chinese national vocal music through practicing with traditional methods of singing,articulation and stage presence.In the paper,I choose the selection of Jiangxi opera’s Yiyang tune——The Peony Pavilion in order to pay my respect to the classics,which is also an inheritance and popularization of traditional Jiangxi opera.It is hoped that more and more audiences and readers can be interested in Jiangxi opera,learn more about Jiangxi opera and appreciate the beauty of it.
