With the rising trend of "Chinese hot" and the development of Chinese as a foreign language,the study of teaching Chinese as a foreign language is developing in a comprehensive and thorough way.Reading is one of the most basic ways for people to acquire information and learn.For most foreign language learners,reading is an important way for them to expand their vocabulary and improve the second language level as soon as possible.Extracurricular reading is a powerful supplement to the teaching of reading.This paper adopts questionnaires and interviews to discuss the basic situation,interest,motivation,content,habits and functions of middle and senior international students.The research results show that Chinese students at middle and advanced stages do not exclude Chinese extracurricular reading while they are in extracurricular reading.Most overseas students take active part in extracurricular Chinese reading,which is of great help to improving the Chinese level of foreign students.Meanwhile,there are still some problems and shortcomings in Chinese extracurricular reading.At the same time,it is found that overseas students don’t read enough time in Chinese extracurricular reading,and their reading habits are not good enough.Therefore,the author puts forward some reference opinions in three aspects,including students,teachers and schools,hoping to help middle and advanced students in Chinese reading and learning Chinese. |
