Heike Monogatari is a story about the rise and fall of the ping family at the end of The Heian Dynasty.Centered on the Heike,it shows a panorama of social life in the late years of The Heian Dynasty.People living in this tragic historical period: In the turbulent society for their own survival and development and struggle with the unfortunate fate, burst out a strong passion for life. The work does not judge heroes by their success or failure, but focuses on the tragic spirit of these tragic characters. This paper interprets the story of Heike Monogatari from the perspective of tragedy aesthetics and discusses it from the following aspects:The first chapter discusses the structure of the opus. The combination of chronicle and biography shows the social changes in the late years of The Heian Dynasty, and makes the individual tragic spirit manifest. In the tragic era,the tragic individual is highlighted;Story’s rhythm is more in line with the aesthetic state of mind of the recipient because of the repeated plot turns and slow and stagnant gradual plot.Tragic characters show different tragic endings because of the interweaving of social, historical and personal factors, which trigger different aesthetic emotions of the recipients.Together they form the skeleton of tragedy. The second chapter discusses the aesthetic situation of tragedy.Description of the specific natural environment is showing a bleak and magnificent atmosphere. The description of the living environment mainly consists of the repeated performance of natural disasters and the continuous playing of "the Buddha dharma is declining and the king dharma does not exist".Direct expression and indirect analysis are the main means of psychological description. The description of the specific natural environment, the description of the living environment and the psychological description combined to form the overall tragic atmosphere of the work, attracting the recipients to constantly enter the work, forming a tragic aesthetic situation in which the subject and object blend.Chapter three discusses the tragic implication of the story of Heike Monogatari. From the two aspects of the appearance of the individual essence and the meaning of the individual existence,we examine the individual destiny. From the authenticity, inevitability and contingency of social development; Finally, the paper discusses the historical experience and lessons from the consideration of natural disaster and war, which leads to the consideration of reality. As a representative tragic work in Japanese classical literature,Heike Monogatari inherits the tragic tradition of the Heian Dynasty, and at the same time,it also shows the tragic style of the new period: it inherits the elegant and plaintive lyric style of the dynasty, but at the same time,it also shows a strong, active and lively style. The two styles coexist in the works, and the former often appears in the description of scenes in daily life.In the description of war scenes, the latter is often shown, and the two styles constantly switch, bringing different tragic aesthetic experience. The works are of high artistic value. After hundreds of years,it still attracts people and shows enduring charm.
