Vocabulary is the important component to middle English teaching.When the vocabulary of the students gets a high degree,the students' English performance will be improved.Many teachers also like to teach in class with teacher-centered,ignoring the class in student-centered.In order to change this phenomenon,this study will apply the cooperative learning in Middle English teaching,the paper based on situational learning,constructivism theory as the theoretical support.In this paper,the author analyzes the data through the cooperative teaching,questionnaire,vocabulary,interviews and other methods.The author goes through the experiment according to the First Middle School in Dongguan,the author divide experimental class into high achievers,medium achievers and low achievers,the corresponding results are obtained.This paper mainly explores three problems:1.What are the impacts of cooperative learning on the overall performance of the experimental class?2.What are the impacts of cooperative learning on groups with high,medium or low scores?3.What are the impacts of cooperative learning on learning interest and motivation of students?It is found that: 1).Cooperative learning can improve the achievement of the whole students in experimental class.2).The cooperative learning can improve the achievement in high and medium achievers,but it has not evident effect in low achievers.3)Cooperative learning can improve students' interest and motivation,which is shown as follows: 1)students' learning attitudes become more active than before.2).The atmosphere of the classroom is more active than before.Compared with traditional teaching,cooperative learning forms can inspire students' interest and motivation in learning,and enhance their vocabulary in exam.As a result,based on the research result,the author gives some possible suggestions:1)the experimental research should lengthen the experiment time.2)the teacher should ready more actual activities to the students.3)the teacher should pay more attention to the low achievers.
