The flourishing development of the Song Dynasty paintings prompted the emergence of portraying images of the people in the original Dynasty and the emergence of related inscritions.The study of this paper mainly focuses on the inscriptions of the Song Dynasty.The first chapter mainly examines the thriving sociocultural background of the image of the people for inscriptions in Song Dynasty.The second chapter is about the contemporaries' Zan of portrait have made for the scholar-bureaucrats in Song Dynasty.These portrays and related Zan generally have the effect of cherishing others and encouraging self,while the Neo-Confucian philosophers consciously use portrays and related Zan to promote Confucianism.Other than that,the Zan of portrait made by scholar-bureaucrats for the people of the time show the characteristics of prose tendency and alienated connections between portrays and related Zan.The third chapter discusses the literati selfinscriptions in the Song Dynasty.The prosperity of the self-inscriptions of literati in the Song Dynasty is closely related to the popularity of the portraits and the introspective cultural character of the Song Dynasty.The image information and the inscriptions revealed by the literati self-inscriptions in itself,it can be seen that the Song people have a strong sense of secluded feeling.In the end,although these inscriptions are short,they provide vivid texts for us to understand the spiritual world of the Song people,and thus are autobiographical.The fourth chapter is about the Zen monks' Zan of portrait in the Song Dynasty.The prevalence of Zen's Zan of portrait creation is closely related to the popularity of Zen Buddhism's portrait,the prosperity of literal Zen Buddhism and the trend of inscriptions inside and outside of Zen Buddhism.In terms of inscriptions' object,It can be divided into self-praise and praise from others.Self-praise mainly focuses on the true nature;Praise from others have both the praise and irony these two ways of writing.In addition,by exploring the characteristics of Zen Buddhism's creations,we can find that their creations are in the style of traditional literary styles,and there are many broken works that bring new vitality to the development of literature style Zan.Due to the close contacts between the literati and the Zen in the Song Dynasty,the literati's true praise for the Zen characters also has a distinct Zen flavor.The last chapter begins with the typical material and cultural symbols,colorful cultural activities and related inscriptions in the Song people's images,discussing the elegance of the Song people.
