A Study On “The Theory Of Imposed Interpretation”

“the theory of imposed interpretation” was put forward by Zhang Jiang in 2014.Once it was put forward,it aroused heated discussion in the academic circle.At present,the discussion has come to an end.The author tries to sort out and summarize the problems caused by this discussion.And on this basis,put forward my own views.The first chapter analyzes the background of “the theory of imposed interpretation”.The first is to analyze the process of the transformation of literary interpretation from literariness-centered theory to theory-centered theory;the second is to analyze the reasons for the emergence of theory-centered Theory.It includes the "tolerance" in literature,the "abuse" of extrinsic theories and the desire of theoreticians to break through the bottleneck of literature.Chapter Two and chapter three respectively analyze the rationality and limitation of “the theory of imposed interpretation”.In terms of rationality,Zhang Jiang puts forward the limits of literary interpretation,the return of literary aesthetics and the status of the author's intention in text interpretation.On the limitation aspect,Zhang Jiang has denied the contemporary Western literary theory as a whole,has not understood the context of the Western contemporary literary theory,and has underestimated the value of the contemporary Western literary theory to the construction of Chinese Contemporary Literary Theory.As parts of “the theory of imposed interpretation”,his "Ontological Hermeneutics" and "Public Hermeneutics" also have some theoretical defects.Chapter Four,on the basis of the previous analysis,puts forward the viewpoint of reconstructing literary interpretation,which lies between literariness and“theory” and has the dual attributes of literariness and Cultural Politics.Through the principle of dialogue,the two modes of interpretation coexist in the literary interpretation,which takes the literariness form as its foothold and extends to the interpretation of cultural and political connotations through the literariness interpretation of Literary Texts.Multi-interpretation to replace one-way interpretation,to achieve the literariness interpretation model and cultural and political interpretation of the model of transcendence.Then,using this interpretation concept to analyze the practice of literary interpretation,taking Bakhtin's practice of literary criticism as an example,to illustrate that this concept of literary interpretation can not only produce meaning,but also produce “theory”,thus realizing that the interpretation route of literary theory from practice to practice.
