In the field of Dunhuang art,Feitian art has always played a very representative role,which is a well-deserved gem in mural art.With the Tibetan Scripture Caves discovered by researchers in related fields at the last century,the flying sky in Dunhuang frescoes had already walked out of the mysterious grottoes,appeared in front of the world,and gradually transformed from religious art to a secular art with great aesthetic value.In the Buddhist art system of our country,the flying sky art of Dunhuang frescoes has become the image of the gods,which can be explained as the spirit of art,and the form of that art is flexible and varied.This article analyzes its ideological and artistic aspects.Nowadays,Feitian has become a representative artistic symbol.In essence,there are significant differences between Feitian and the religious archetypes such as God of Song and God of Music in Indian Buddhism.There is a word "?",which means fly,in Feitian that is inextricably linked to many legends and myths about "?" in Chinese history.Moreover,the hard-working ancient people had also used this word as a basis to continuously improve the level and the development of connotation of "?".The "?" in the art of Dunhuang frescoes has developed a deep connotation,and it has not only been drawn from religious images such as Gan Hapo and Jin Naluo,but also became a manifestation of spiritual freedom,a symbol with deep philosophical connotation.The painters gave the image of "?" using a vivid motion to express their spiritual liberation,and to convey the beautiful desire for people to get rid of the shackles of reality and long for freedom.Their flexible shapes became Dunhuang art symbol.The shape of Dunhuang Feitian embodies the great creative spirit of the Chinese nation,which is a great wisdom of unique national spirit and aesthetic form of China.Through the analysis of image of Dunhuang Feitian,this article believes that its image bases on the expression of "meaning" as its main purpose.Its image is inseparable from the basic appearance,and is not bound by the existence of objective objects.While expressing the authenticity of the object,it also maintains a certain distance from the object.In other word,the shape derives from reality and is higher than reality.Besides its feature is subjective image.The term "feitian" originates from Chinese culture which is a concept.Therefore,the research of Feitian must adopt the concept of Feitian as a broad sense.The image of Feitian in Chinese culture is essential meaning,which expresses the spirit of freedom in Chinese culture.Feitian is superior to literature in expressing ideas,so Chinese culture choose the Feitian image to express spiritual freedom.Feitian,a symbol of spiritual freedom,is intrinsically consistent with "the unity of human and nature" in Chinese culture.The internal connection between Feitian and Chinese culture is the reason why the Feitian image of Buddhist art surpasses religious art and transforms to Chinese cultural symbols.This article is based on the research of previous studies,from a philosophical point of view,with the humanistic ideas contained in Feitian as the core.Based on the research of the predecessors,the author has focused on some problems in Dunhuang Feitian by serious investigating and exploring to analyze the inner connection between Dunhuang Feitian and Chinese culture.Meanwhile the author propose contemporary value and significance of the research.
