A Study On Zhang Jiliang’s Poems And Proses

Zhang Jiliang was a representative writer in the patriotic poetry of the modern Opium War.He had written more than 3,000 poems,especially the poems created before and after the Opium War.In addition,Zhang Jiliang had written six volumes and other miscellaneous articles and diaries.However,in stark contrast to the outstanding creative achievements,the current research is weak and inadequate.Based on previous studies,this article has made a detailed and comprehensive analysis of Zhang Jiliang’s life,friendship,writings,literary thoughts,ideological content and artistic characteristics of poetry and prose,with a view to expanding and deepening Zhang Jiliang’s research on poetry.Furthermore,it is helpful to the study of the patriotic poetry in the Opium War and the whole modern literature.The introductory part of this article combs the research history of Zhang Jiliang and his poems,and explains the reasons for the topic selection and the research significance.The main body is divided into five chapters: The first chapter discusses Zhang Jiliang’s life,friendship and writings.The life section focuses on Zhang Jiliang’s different stages of life.The section on socializing highlights Zhang Jiliang ’s extensive socializing pattern.He not only performed poetry singing with literati of different levels and different countries,but also participated in large-scale group chorus.Such a rich level of communication activities roughly described the condition of the bottom literati at that time.The writing section briefly introduces Zhang Jiliang’s poems,essays,words and other miscellaneous creations.The second chapter firstly reveals Zhang Jiliang’s poetry creation background from the perspective of poetic orientation and the origin of the article,and then conducts a detailed discussion on his poetic thoughts,laying the foundation for the poetry creation research in the following chapters.The third chapter analyzes the ideological implication of Zhang Jiliang’s poetry in a comprehensive and systematic way from five aspects: the poems about social reality,the poems on the landscape,the poems about the nostalgic history,the poems about inscriptions,and the poems about inscriptions.The puropse is exploring Zhang Jiliang’s creation path and mental process.The fourth chapter summarizes the artistic characteristics of ZhangJiliang’s poetry,mainly including four aspects: bold style,heavy and sadness;diversified techniques,mainly description;simple language,full of emotions;all kinds of body,make good use of poems,so as to dig deeply into Zhang Jiliang The artistic value of poetry.The fifth chapter discusses Zhang Jiliang’s prose,mainly divided into two aspects: style contents and writing characteristics.From the perspective of style contents,Zhang Jiliang’s prose can be divided into three categories: ancient prose,parallel prose,and fu style.Among them,ancient prose is the most typical,mainly including the following four types: the first are biographies,longevity and epitaphs,the second are travel texts,the third type are preface and postscript,and the fourth type are calligraphy.From the perspective of writing characteristics,his prose has three main characteristics: facing the reality,simulating the shortcomings of the times;having a clear point of view and rigorous argumentation;sincere and moving emotion.The conclusion part summarizes the position and influence of Zhang Jiliang’s poetry creation in modern literary history,especially in the opium war patriotic poetry.
