Research On Li Dongyang's Seal

The identification of the authenticity of Li Dongyang's seal is a key link in the identification of Li's old paintings and calligraphy.As a wise man in the four dynasties of the Ming Dynasty,Li Dongyang not only had a prominent political position,but also a talented man with little fame.He was good at poetry,fine calligraphy,comprehensive learning and collection,and had a high attainments.At present,the study of Li Dongyang and his Chaling School of poetry is limited to the interpretation of literary achievements and calligraphy style.At the same time,a large number of excellent private seals are worthy of scholars' attention.Li Dongyang's calligraphy and painting seal is relatively complex.Through the collection and arrangement of Li Dongyang's seal,combined with the description of ancient books and the analysis of the same text and shape seal one by one,we have a clear understanding of Li Dongyang's seal law.By comparison,it is concluded that 44 square seals are more reliable.Among them,twenty-two square seals are the typical seals with clear images,and there are still more than thirty square seals in doubt.In the process of carding,this paper focuses on the textual research of Li's usual idle chapter-"the depth of 71 peaks",and makes an in-depth discussion on its authenticity.The determination of the above content will lay a foundation for further study of Li Dongyang's calligraphy and painting and the use of private printing.
