| Yunnan,as a frontier province with multi-ethnic and multi religious exchanges and harmonious development,is the only area in China,even in the world where there are three major schools of Han,Tibetan and Southern Buddhism are converging and coexisting,especially the Southern Buddhism.As one of the core contents of national culture,religion education is closely related to national culture.In the process of Buddhism’s introduction into Yunnan,it made different degrees of localization adjustment according to the cultural habits of the belief nation,and became the Southern Buddhism and Tibetan Buddhism with local characteristics.This paper makes a special comparative study of the Southern Buddhism temple education and the Tibetan Buddhism temple education in Yunnan,summarizes the common law of the development of Yunnan Buddhism temple education and the special phenomenon of localization for different ethnic groups,the various difficulties faced by the temple education in the actual development and the changes made to adapt to the modern society,and puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions for these difficulties.In the minority society of Yunnan Province,the Buddhist temple is the only cultural belief institution in the past,playing the role of educational institution of the school,and undertaking the important function of cultivating excellent talents and inheriting the excellent history and culture of the nation.From the perspective of pedagogy,this paper makes a comparative study on the Monastic Education of Yunnan Southern Buddhism and Tibetan Buddhism,analyzes the modern adaptability of Monastic Education,tries to find out the deep-seated factors that affect the similarities and differences between the two groups of Monastic Education,and fully understands the positive role of Monastic Education in Contemporary society.This paper consists of four parts.In the introduction,it introduces the origin of the topic,the significance and value of the research,and the literature review.The first part introduces the unique geographical position of Yunnan in history and culture,andmakes a historical process of Yunnan Southern Buddhism and Tibetan Buddhism education.In the second part,by collecting and interviewing the data of the temple education,the author makes a comprehensive description and analysis of the current situation of the South Buddhism and Tibetan Buddhism temple education in Yunnan Province,and makes a deep interpretation of the phenomenon of the temple education from a broad political,economic and cultural perspective,and explores the fundamental motivation for the development and reform of the temple education,and analyzes and compares the present situation of the Buddhist temple Generation adaptability,the educational impact on the society in which they live and the educational and cultural functions brought by it.The third part systematically analyzes and compares the similarities and differences between the Southern Buddhism and the Tibetan Buddhism temple education in the aspects of educational purpose,educational content,educational methods,educational environment and educational system from the perspective of educational elements,and summarizes the differences and finds the laws.The fourth part gives an example of the temple education in the form of Buddhist Institute,introduces the transformation of traditional temple education to adapt to the modern society,at the same time,summarizes the common law of the development of Yunnan Buddhist temple education,draws on the excellent experience,and puts forward the corresponding transformation path for the disadvantages of temple education in the new situation.In the end,we will deepen the cultural level as a whole,explain the contemporary adaptability and educational value of temple education,and develop the temple education that is in line with China’s national conditions and educational reality. |
