The music art of the Han Dynasty is the most important and original development stage in the history of Chinese music development.The period of Han Wudi was the peak period of the development of music in the Han Dynasty,and it was also the key period to form the music culture of the Han Dynasty.During the period of Han Wudi,the national strength was strong,the economy developed to its peak,and the territory of the Western Han Dynasty was opened.Han Wudi sent Zhang Qian to the Western Region to strengthen the communication between the Central Plains and the Western Region and other borders.Therefore,the intra-regional culture and the extra-regional culture began to communicate frequently,and a large number of exotic music and dance appeared in the Central Plains.In addition,expand the scale and functions of Yuefu,carry out “picking poetry” activities,collect music from various areas in the domain into Yuefu,exotic music and dance have also been incorporated into court music by Yuefu institutions.Then organize and adapt the music so that the music culture within and outside the domain can be concentrated and widely exchanged.Large-scale exchanges and fusions of music within and outside the region affect the aesthetic standards of the Han people,making the music of the Han Wudi period a unique aesthetic style.Music aesthetics has been running through the entire process of music development,and the most reflective of music aesthetics is musical activity.Therefore,aesthetic research on the music of Han Wudi period must not be separated from specific music activities.Only by studying music activities can we find out the aesthetic concepts and tastes of music in different periods,different regions and different nationalities.This article sorts out the main music activities and their backgrounds during the period of Han Wudi,analyzes and summarizes the new aesthetic fashion formed by the music aesthetics during this period.The large-scaleexchange and integration of music within and outside of the region,the Han people have shown great tolerance and absorption of various types of music,forming a new aesthetic fashion of music with “new” as the beauty,injecting more new vitality into Han muisc,and promoting the prosperity and development of Han music,at the same time,opened the grand curtain of Chinese and foreign music and cultural exchanges.While adapting to the decline of elegant music and the prosperity of secular music since the Spring and Autumn and the Warring States Period,the creative trend of Chuge has flourished in all strata,and the “new elegant music” was created with vulgarity and elegance,a new aesthetic fashion of music with “secular” as the beauty has been formed,the artistic style and charm of secular music have been improved.The emphasis on the entertainment function of music has made the Han people pay more attention to the audiovisual enjoyment and pleasure of music,express more personal emotions in their creation,and form a new aesthetic fashion of music with “entertainment” as the beauty.The formation of a new trend in music aesthetics during the Han Wudi period was the prosperity and development of the music system in the Han Dynasty.This is in line with the development trend of music at that time,and it is also a reflection of the Han people's aesthetic needs for music.
