Research On The Evolution Of Chen Hongshou’s Official Script

Chen Hongshou was an accomplished artist who lived in the Qianlong and Jiaqing period.He covered a wide range of art,calligraphy on all five body,especially the most personal official script,in the mid of the Qing Dynasty,has a very important position.This article takes Chen Hongshou’s official script as the cut-in point,and probes into the evolution of its official script style.This paper is divided into four chapters:The first chapter discusses the prevalence of epigraphy in the Qianlong and Jiaqing period and the academic prosperity in Jiangsu and Zhejiang regions,which have great infulence on Chen Hongshou’s literature and art,especially the writing of official script.The second chapter is the key chapter of this paper.The author sorted out the official script works of Chen Hongshou’s according to the year,and classified them into three stages.According to Chen Hongshou’s experiences and friends in different periods,the evolution process of Chen Hongshou’s official script is sorted out.The third chapter is also the key chapter of this article.The evolution of Chen Hong shou’s official script style can not be separated from the development of his calligraphic aesthetics.Therefore,the author summarizes four aspects of aesthetic tendency based on Chen Hongshou’s poems,print colophon and painting postscript.In addition,official script works are added to analyze the influence of aesthetic orientation on official script.In the Fourth Chapter,the author compares the official script of Chen Hongshou with that of the calligraphers who were good at official script in the Qianlong and Jiaqing period.It is helpful to understand the artistic personality of Chen Hongshou’s official script and its historical position in the calligraphy community of Qing Dynasty.
