Sergei Sergeyevich Prokofiev was a Soviet composer,conductor and pianist in the 20 th century.His piano suite Romeo and Juliet Op.75 is a very important classic work in the piano music of the world.This dissertation takes Prokofiev's piano suite Romeo and Juliet Op.75 as the research object for correlation analysis and research.Firstly,introduces the life of Sergei Sergeyevich Prokofiev,including his writing styles in different periods and the background of this suite.Secondly,analyzes the musical characteristics of the 10 pieces by collecting relevant materials and combining with the author's own thinking.Thirdly,researches the performance techniques from the author's own playing experience of touching keys,sound,pedal treatment and other aspects.The author hopes to have a more comprehensive and profound understanding of the composer and this excellent piano work by discussing the musical characteristics and performance techniques of the piano suite Romeo and Juliet Op.75,so as to provide some references for understanding and playing this suite.
