A Study On The?ji Du Poetry In The Middle Period Of Qing Dynasty

The name of Jiju began to appear in “Houshan poetry” by the litterateur Chen Shidao of northern Song dynasty.In the later Ming dynasty,Xushi defined Jiju poems: “the content of Jiju poems was combining ancient verses into poetry.” The earliest existing Jiju poems are Fu Xian’s “Seven Classics Poems” which belongs to Western Jin dynasty.Since then,no more Jiju poems have been created for a long time,until the middle of the Northern Song dynasty,it became popular gradually.Meanwhile,people have the greatest esteem for Dufu in the Northern Song dynasty and reached the level of “To study poetry,one must learn about Dufu’s poems.Even warriors and women respect Du Fu very much because of his poems.” So Du Fu was known as “Saint of poetry”.Under such circumstances,Ji Du poetry emerged at the historic moment,and its appearance injected fresh vitality into Ji Ju poetry.After the accumulation and development of Song Yuan Ming dynasties,Ji Du poetry of Qing dynasty reached the climax of creation,especially in the middle of the Qing dynasty.The methods of data collection,data statistics,and text reading were used to analyze Ji Du poetry in the middle of Qing dynasty in the thesis.First of all,the reasons for the climax of Ji Du poetry creation in the middle of the Qing dynasty were analyzed: the prosperous cultural background prompted many literati to concentrate on literary studies,and various styles blossomed in this period that the rulers also highly praised Du Fu.As a result,Du poetics developed rapidly and led to many poet’s collection of Ji Du poetry,coupled with the continuous accumulation of predecessors,brought the creation of Ji Du poetry to its climax in the middle of Qing dynasty.Secondly,the characteristics of Ji Du poetry in the middle of Qing dynasty were analyzed.The main manifestations are as follows: there were a large number of Ji Du poetry collections;all types of poems were available and the poem contents were based on the poets’ daily life and the works style were seriocomic.Thirdly,the inheritance of Du Fu’s poems in the middle Qing dynasty is analyzed again,which mainly manifested in the inheritance of the spirit of patriotism,poetic history,melancholy style and long title.The pioneering of Ji Du poems was mainly laid in the application of annotations and the development of the poetry theme respectively.Last but nor the most,the thesis selects the Ji Du poetry collections by Qi Zhaonan,Liang Tongshu and Deng Xianhe in the middle of the Qing dynasty to read carefully.It summarized the most loved Ji Du poetry by the three poets,and further analyzed the existence of foreign texts in the works,so as to better explore the relationship between the collection of Ji Du poetry and Du poetry.Ji Du poetry in the middle of Qing dynasty is an important stage in the history of Ji Du poetry.the development of Ji Du poetry in the middle of Qing dynasty,the representative of Ji Du poets and Ji Du works were analyzed carefully in this thesis.The relationship between Ji Du poetry and Du poetry was also summarized so that readers can feel the extension of art in Du poetry.
