In the Qing Dynasty,the Song Study centered on Zhu Xi's Shi Jizhuan has gradually lost its dominant position.Scholars began to revive Sinology.Finally,the Qing study which is mainly based on textual criticism formed.In the process of transformation,scholars in KangXi period such as Hui Zhouti showed the academic tendency of "adopting both Sinology and Song Study",which laid a foundation for the establishment of Qing study.Hui Zhouti was also the founder of the Wu school.His book,Shi Shuo,which had no special preference for Sinology and Song Study,was one of the representative works in this transitional period.This paper takes Shi Shuo as the research object,aimed to collate and study the book and do some basic research of Qing study.The specific contents of this paper are as follows:In the first chapter,I will introduce the life and the works of Hui Zhouti and summarizes his contribution to the forming of Qing study and the establishment of Wu school.In the second chapter,I'd like to explore the development of the study on The Book of Songs in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasty so that I can know about the background of the creation of Shi Shuo.I will also do some basic work such as researching the book's versionIn the third chapter,I will confirm the stylistic rules and layout of Shi Shuo and read the whole book carefully and thorough,discuss Hui zhouti's views on the important topics in the study of Characters,Phonology,Exegesis,Etiquette,History,Geography,Astronomy etc.In the fourth chapter,I will analysis the academic characteristics of this book,and study his academic status and influence on later generations.Also,I will point out the deficiency of this book.Generally speaking,through a comprehensive study,we can know that Hui zhouti's Shi Shuo not only absorbed the academic essence of the former generation of scholars,but also opened up his own unique research method.Although there are some farfetched points,this book shows some characteristics of the study on The Book of Songs in the KangXi period which has a positive influence on the study of Wu school and Qing Study in Qing Dynasty.
