Nowadays,cross-cultural communication has become a trend,and people pay more attention to the issue of cultural translation.How to maintain the characteristics of one's own national culture and blend with the cultures of other nations in cross-cultural translation is a question worth discussing for every translator,language learner,translation scholar and translation theorist.To Live is one of the representatives of the writer Yu Hua.Since the novel was published,it has been translated into various languages: English,Japanese,French,Thai and Arabic,etc.Russian version of the To Live is translated ?·??????,a Russian scholars and Chinese teachers,studying in China before,publishing in 2014.Due to the late emerging of the Russian version of To Live,only few literature reviews can used for translation studies.This paper,from the perspective of cultural translation,Applying the cultural translation thought of Liu Miqing through close reading,taking the rhetoric itself and the culture contained in the rhetoric in the novel To Live as the research object,analyzes three aspects of Russian translation,namely are Phonetic rhetoric,Vocabulary rhetoric and Figures of speech,and discuss the translation strategies and methods adopted by the translator when facing two cultures during translation,hopes thattranslation can be the bridge of the two languages and two cultures,and achieves the goal of cultural communication.The introduction of this paper expounds the significance of the topic,the current situation of cultural translation studies,cultural rhetoric studies and the translation studies of the novel To Live.The first chapter of the paper explores the understanding of cultural translation by scholars at home and abroad,including Nida,Susan·Bassnett,Chinese scholar Liu Miqing.At the same time,The concept of cultural translation is expounded.It includes the principles of the theory of expression and the means of expression to provide a theoretical basis for the analysis of the following articlesThe second chapter,viewing from cultural translation,studies the rhetoric itself and the culture contained in the rhetoric phenomenon and the translation strategies and methods adopted by the translator during Russian translation of To Live,from the aspects of Russian translation,such as phonetic rhetoric,vocabulary rhetoric and figures of speech.The translator,with the purpose of cultural communication,deals with the rhetoric problems in the translation process so as to achieve the equivalent effect of cultural functions.The third chapter mainly discusses the translatability of cultural rhetoric,mainly are the of translatability of rhetoric(phonetic rhetoric,vocabulary rhetoric and figures of speech)and culture(therhetoric itself and the culture contained in the rhetoric)presented in To live.Epilogue part are summarized through a lot of examples analysis,this study suggests that the translator in the translation process for language rhetoric behind the cultural information carried by the did better interpretation,with the meaning of using overall feasible translation strategy and method,for some of the cultural rhetoric form,there is the problem of translatability,interlingual translation is some,some are restricted from the expression of cultural translation theory,play to the initiative and creativity of the translator in the process of translation is the key to solve the problem...
