| Time-travel fiction is a kind of network literature that develops rapidly with the wind of Internet technology.It is rooted in the soil of network culture and integrates the elements of 3 fiction genres— fantasy,history and romance.In the process of development,it presents a feminine tendency of creation and reading and gradually enters the vast entertainment market.It has become one of the popular literary and cultural phenomena by "allying" itself with the fields of paper media,film and television,games,animation,radio drama and so on.The study on its text and the phenomena and the underlying literary,cultural and social psychology is of both theoretical and practical significance.However,the current academic research mainly focuses on the basic types of time-travel novels.The research perspective seems single;the research content overlaps.Besides,the creation and reading of time-travel novels have obvious gender differentiation.When doing the research,many do not distinguish it,which lacks objectivity.As an important phenomenon of network literature,also of network culture,time travel fiction isn’t paid enough attention as it should be.Therefore,this paper takes the research object of "female-oriented" time-travel novels.Underpinned by Foucault’s concept of Heterotopia,It explains the relation between Heterotopia and "female-oriented" time-travel novels,and discusses the Heterotopia in "female-oriented" time-travel novels.The thesis is divided into three parts:The first part discusses how the female writers construct heterotopia which is half real,yet still really false,by superposition and juxtaposition of heterogeneous space and time and by using the creation method of playing history."Female-oriented" time-travel novels realize people’s dreams of transcending space and time in the text.Female writers deconstruct the essential attributes of specific space and time,then combine them with those of different space and time to construct the heterotopia which is alienated from reality through arbitrary juxtaposing space and extending time.Heterotopia is mainly set in ancient society.In the novels,female writersreflect on the history and culture and imagine the historical situation to identify the tradition in the form of popular culture.They also express their own feelings and appeals.In the process of reading the works,female readers will experience the feelings and experiences of their own as if they were real,due to the sense of substitution.The readers will travel freely in the heterogeneous space and time together with the protagonists,and experience and play the history to escape from the mundane and trivial life and obtain the infinite possibility of development.The second part studies the "daydream" of female writers in the fantasy space of heterotopia.Each subtype of the "female-oriented" time-travel novels originated on the Internet reflects and satisfies the inner desires and needs of female authors and readers.When female writers create the "female-oriented" time-travel novels,they make their fantasy "daydream" come true.When women readers review the works,they can also compensate for their mundane and tedious lives in reality.Heterotopia that the female writers construct is full of "fantasy",where women’s desires for the ideal self-expectation,great love,the pursuit of self-realization have been displayed extensively,through which the psychological consciousness and desires and demands of contemporary women can be analyzed,and female consciousness behind it can be further studied.The third part,based on Bourdieu’s field theory,brings the“female-oriented” time-travel novels and capitalizing into a field of literature,and analyzes how the resistance characteristics of Heterotopia established in the text approaches disappearance because of the existing difficulties of the novel and the invasion of the capital into them.On one hand,the quality of "female-oriented" time-travel novels is uneven and unsatisfactory.They are also influenced by the invisible influence of patriarchal thoughts.The female consciousness shown is also dwarfed by the consciousness of patriarch power,resulting in the loss of the heterogeneity of resistance in "female-oriented" time-travel novels.On the other hand,due to the implementation of the charging system for reading literature on websites and the establishment ofthe "full copyright" operation strategy of online literature,women’s aesthetic needs have attracted the attention of capital and used by it.The heterogeneity of "female-oriented" travel novels has gradually weakened under the restriction of capital,and it has become the accessory of consumption ideology. |
