A Study On The Structural Thinking Of Britten String Quartet

Benjamin Britten(1913--1976)was an outstanding British composer in the 20 th century.During his lifetime,he created a large number of excellent works,covering a wide range of subjects and played an important role in the development of music.Through the comprehensive analysis and research of Britten string quartet no.1(op.25)and no.2 string quartet(op.36),this paper tries to summarize the characteristics of structural thinking in the writing of Britten string quartet.The first chapter introduces Britten's life and creation.The second chapter is the music analysis of Two Britten's string quartets.The third chapter analyzes the structural thinking characteristics of Britten's two string quartets.
