As the ultimate goal pursued by human society, happiness has always been the research object of philosophers and thinkers.Ancient Greece is the birthplace of Western civilization, and its awkward civilization has an important influence on the West and the world. The development of the western concept of happiness has gone through a long-term process. This paper only studies and explores the ideology of happiness in the Hellenistic period from the perspective of inheritance and development. The birth of happiness in the Greek classical period has profound political, economic and cultural factors as well as the background of the times. The particularity of geographical location has created the spirit of exploration and navigation of the ancient Greeks.Classical Greece, especially Athens,is the birthplace of Greek civilization. The democracy of Athens reached its peak during the Pericles administration. The encouragement and support of free and active democracies and rulers gave the philosopher a relaxed cultural atmosphere.During this period,Socrates proposed the virtue of virtue as knowledge, and Plato proposed the unity of individual happiness and city-state happiness in "Ideology".Aristotle also systematically put forward the idea of happiness,to Greece. The happiness thoughts in the period of the period have an important influence. The epoch of the Hellenistic period was roughly the time when Alexander's eastward expedition began in 334 BC and was annexed by Rome around 30 BC.The frequent occurrence of wars during this period, the decline of the city-state democracy, and the continuous widening of the economic gap have brought unprecedented hardships to the people.During this period, there were many philosophical schools, which also deepened the thinking of happiness. The Stoic School and the Epicurean School still belonged to the category of moral ethics. The early Stoic school still advocated the importance of virtue to happiness.Turning his gaze from the city-state to the individual,he began to take care of his heart and advocate individual happiness, but he also advocated that people cannot change and get rid of their destiny. The way to achieve happiness is to obey the cosmic rationality,to obey and obey nature and society.Epicurus put forward the ethics of happiness in an unprecedentedway. It advocates that happiness is happiness."The painlessness of the body and the disorder of the soul" is happiness. The formation of the happiness concept of happiness has the personal life experience and the profound influence of the times, but His happiness is not hedonism. He divides people's desires and points out that not all desires are worthy of desire, nor that all happiness is happiness. The neo-Platonic happiness thought is mainly embodied in Plotino's thought. He pointed out that Fule's life cannot be separated from virtue and reason. And animals and plants have the same right of happiness as human beings.Like Aristotle, they emphasize the important influence of good on happiness. They also advocate that happiness is not related to time and is eternal. However,he emphasizes the harmonious state of the soul and advocates the Trinity of "Taiyi","Yuanzhi" and "Yuanhun".This seemingly rational mysticism has an important influence on the later Christian philosophy. The Hellenistic period as a turning point in the history of ancient Greece's development, its happiness thought has played an important role in the development of the concept of happiness in the modern society.First,Christianity combines the similarities of "Taiyi" and "Soul" in the philosophical thoughts of the Hellenistic period, philosophizing and rationalizing Christianity, and pointing out that only Christianity is the true philosophy, the godfather philosophy, the scholastic philosophy. The development of et al provides a theoretical basis for the pursuit of the legitimacy of happiness and the goodness and omnipotence of God.In the realization of happiness,God is placed in the supreme position, and only those who are redeemed by God can obtain happiness in the afterlife.Although the idea of happiness in the Hellenistic period was not the most complete, the inheritance of the philosopher's happiness thought and the continuous development of this period gave important inspirations to the concept of happiness in modern society. The relationship between virtue and goodness, rational thinking, the essence of happiness, and the relationship between individual happiness and collective happiness all have an important impact on the improvement of the concept of happiness in modern society.
