Anita Rau Badami(1961-)is one of the most famous English writers in contemporary Indian Canadian.Badami started his literary career in 1997.So far,She has been published four English novels: Tamarind Woman,The Hero's Walk,Can You Hear the Nightbird Call?and Tell it to the Trees,and she is still good at writing.Her novels are highly praised for their rich connotations and superb narrative skills.This Dissertation mainly includes three parts: Introduction,Discussion and Conclusion.The Introduction mainly clarifies the concept of feminist family narrative,and introduces the writer and her works briefly,and summarizes the existing research results of Badami at home and abroad.This part analyzes the narrative construction of female family pedigree,the form and cultural implication of female family narrative in Badami's works by means of close reading and other methods,with the support of the theories of feminism,classical narratology and feminist narratology.The first chapter studies the characteristics and construction of female family lineage in Badami's novels.From the perspective of construction,this part mainly combed the female family pedigree through the use of female perspective and transformational character perspective,editing and stitching of memories and other narrative strategies.The second chapter mainly discusses the form of female family narrative,points out that the author reevaluates the value meaning of daily life and body experience with female as the main body from two aspects of daily life narrative and body narrative,and affirms the gender experience and value of female.The third chapter discusses the cultural implication of female family narrative.The first section mainly analyzes how women rebel against the maternal nature and wife nature by patriarchy to establish their dominant position.The second section explores the real existence and life experience of women in history by sorting out the suffering history and growth history of female family.The purpose of this dissertation is to demonstrate the affirmation of Badami's experience of women's existence and subject value.
