Mid Tang music is an important stage in the development history of the Tang Dynasty music. It is a key period for the integration of foreign music and local music. After the Anshi turmoil, foreign music's development in the Tang Dynasty expanded day by day, while local music showed a gradual decline. The development situation of music echoed the political pattern of the Fanzhen division at that time, and it was bound to arouse the anxiety and tension of scholars, and then respond to this situation.Among them,Yuan Zhen,Bai Juyi,Han Yu,Liu Zongyuan,Liu Yuxi,Zhang Ji,Wang Jian,Zhang Jian and others actively expressed their attitude towards music, and gradually penetrated into the writing of poetry, which was typical at that time and formed a certain influence.Others such as Du You,Gao Yi,Pei Du,Liang Su,Li Cheng, and Zhou Cun also actively participated in the music discussion. These scholars' discussions on local and foreign music made the music of this period have a special significance reflecting the politics and culture of the Mid Tang Dynasty. This article focuses on the central issue of local music and foreign music. It takes the scholars' attitudes towards traditional and pop music in the mid-Tang Dynasty as the research object to take care of the thoughts and literature of the scholars in the middle Tang Dynasty. From this perspective,it also provides insight into the reflection and reconstruction of society after the Anshi Rebellion. The full text is divided into four parts. The first chapter analyzes the development background of Mid Tang music. As far as foreign music is concerned, foreign music began to flourish in the early Tang Dynasty, and the scope of activities was mainly in the court. After the Anshi Rebellion, foreign music's activities expanded to local and folk, and it also affected military music. As for local music, elegant music was greatly affected by the Anshi Rebellion, and important development factors were disintegrated.Although Su Zong and Wen Zong dynasties adopted a series of measures to restore elegant music, they were not very effective. At the time of Zhenyuan and Yuanhe, corresponding efforts were also made to try to restore the authority of ritual music. The second chapter discusses the contradictory attitude of scholars to foreign music.Outof a high sense of social responsibility, many scholars expressed strong anti-Hu concepts.Among them,Yuan Bai's voice against Hu in Xinyuefu poetry is the most representative, rising to the political level. It was the sternness of the political situation in the mid-Tang Dynasty that prompted a change in the psychology of scholars' music culture. The local-based thinking was strengthened and foreign music became the object of exclusion. However, aside from their political stance and scholarship, they unconsciously show their love for foreign music in their daily lives. This contradictory musical attitude is actually a diverse reflection of scholars' musical ideas at different levels.lute is a typical foreign music instrument, and scholars' attitude towards it is representative. The third chapter analyzes the attitudes and literary expressions of scholars in Tang Dynasty towards traditional music.Facing the declining traditional music, the scholars in the middle and the Tang Dynasty tried to reconstruct the development system of local music by retro music. The first is the reconstruction of ritual music.Bai Juyi and Liu Zongyuan can consciously stand on the national stand and complete the concept and practice of ritual music. The second is the restoration and change of Yuefu's concept.Zhang Ji and Wang Jian advocate studying the folk songs of Han Yuefu, which belongs to the retro level.Yuanbai's new Yuefu idea advocates the combination of poetry and music, which belongs to the update of Yuefu idea. Finally, with the case of scholars 'vigorous promotion of zither music in the Middle Tang Dynasty as an example,we can see that scholars' pursuit of elegant's music. The fourth chapter discusses the literary practice of pop music in the mid-Tang Dynasty. In the middle of the Tang Dynasty, the two musics of foreign and the vulgar blended with each other, the social enjoyment prevailed, and the music showed a trend of entertainment development.Based on the spread of this musical ethos,Yanyue's rapid development is mainly concentrated in Jiangnan and Sichuan.Correspondingly,Bai Juyi and Liu Yuxi actively tried to create literati poetry. At the same time, some literati took a different approach and turned the custom into elegance.Among them,Liu Yuxi's "Bamboo Ci" is a reference and transformation of Bachu folk songs, and Zhang Jian's poems also include the writing of ballads and customs. The literati writing of folk folk music made them more
