As a classical musician who is against the tide and lived in the romantic period of the 19 th century,Brahms produced a large number of works during his lifetime,among which op.116-119 is the representatives of his late piano works.The “six pieces for piano,op.118”is a master work.The thesis illustrates the six piano pieces of op.118,further explains the characterizations of Brahms’ late piano composition,and finally focuses on the musical performance disposal with the key-touch,the pedal and its musical style,which aims to give advice to second creation of op.118.
