The memorials are some kind of official documents wrote by the subjects of a feudal ruler which were submit to their superior or the emperor.The memorials involve many aspects of the country such as economics,politics,culture and diplomacy.The memorials in Donghan dynasty are various in kinds and diverse in forms.We research the memorials in two aspects:the ideological contents and the artistic characteristics.The ideological contents involve the people-oriented thought,the talent thought and national thought.The people-oriented thought reflected in pay attention to the spiritual value of the life of the civilian,give high priority to agriculture development to make them rich.Guide them with rites and music rather than penalty.The talent thought requires the feudal ruler must be courteous to the wise and condescending to scholars,distinguish the goodness and the evil,bear with talents faults.The national thought include the unity of China and barbarians,distinguish between China and barbarians and the the Jimi system.Under the political environment and the academic atmosphere the ideology of the memorials lean to Confucian thoughts.The artistic characteristics reflect on the rhetoric technique like allusion,antithesis and thimble.The appropriate use of these rhetoric technique make the style or manner of writing become beautiful and graceful.Chapter Five analyse the trait of allusion and the aesthetic effect.The author use the allusion with flexible ways also clip in proper methods.For that reason,the article became implicated and elegant.Chapter Five analyse the antithesis include category and appreciation.The antithesis in memorials looks regular and neat.The couplet bonded with the simple sentence created nimble.In couplet the author used the opposite events to demonstration full of dialectical thought.
