New chinese art song is concepts and forms of new art song explored and created by Robert Zollitsch and Gong Linna that is based on China.The new art songs five poems by Qu Yuan written by Robert Zollitsch and sung by Gong Linna(?Li Sao?,?Tian Wen?,?Yun Zhong Jun?,?He Bo?and?Shan Gui?)accurately express the language features and rhythm characteristics of the poems by Qu Yuan in the form of music,which is a creative inheritence of the poems by Qu Yuan and is also a successful example of classical poem art song created by contemporary musicians.New art songs five poems by Qu Yuan written by Robert Zollitsch whose rhythm characteristics are based on China traditional folk songs are combined with different typical China folk music development methods like“repeat”,”sequence”,and combine western modern polyphony thought with China line thought;when it comes to the features of accompaniment these songs adopt non-fixed establishment and accompaniment of mixed minor band which foils the main rhythm with one of its vocal parts and develops with several vocal parts around the theme;the rhythm and beat of these songs are flexible and mixed changing beat is adopted,the pattern of rhythm consists of the complex pattern of rhythm and simple pattern of rhythm;about the musical form and tonality they mainly consist of chinese traditional pentatonic modes that is combined with atonality;about the methods of intruments of incidental music the indoor accompaniment of band is adopted,timbre and layers are abundant,the characteristics of the sounds of western instruments and China traditional instruments are combined elaborately,which shows the unique charm of chinese new art songs.The new art songs five poems by Qu Yuan sung by Gong Linna whose nuo tune is primitive and natural also have the characteristics of intensity and exaggeration of rock music;these songs have features of influency and casualty of pop singing style while they also have features of elegance andmorbidezza of folk singing style;Gong Linna sings these songs forcefully and resoundingly with the style of the tune of Lao Sheng while these songs also have the features of tenderness of the style of the tune of Qing Yi.Gong Linna turned into a Nuo Tan witch and presented a magic state of music on the stage.She combined different content of songs with the singing style of pop songs and China opera tune,which were formed into a unique“Gong'style”.Her singing is passionate and vivid,majestic and exquisite.She builta psychedelic and spiritual scene with her thick,resounding,clear and exquisite voice and made a musical effect that seemed to be able to pass through time and space but remain a feeling of reality.
