English oral extracurricular activities as a complement to the high school English oral classroom teaching,is an important part of promoting students' English communicative ability.Some deficiencies are existed in the form and the content of high school English oral extracurricular activities which can't meet the needs of improving the students' communicative ability.Therefore,The design of diversified extracurricular learning activities of oral English in senior high school can improve students' English communicative ability and stimulate their interest,under the background of key competencies.This thesis is explore how to apply the key competencies to the design of English oral extracurricular activities by using the methods of questionnaire and interview,aiming to help students improve their communicative skills,develop their communicative accomplishment and thinking quality,based on the concept of activity construction and empirical learning theory.The research aims at solving the following problems: 1.What effective design strategies of extracurricular learning activities of oral English in senior high school based on key competencies can be put forward? 2.How to achieve the development goal of students' key competencies in the practice of extracurricular learning activities of oral English in senior high school? In order to discuss the design strategies of high school oral English extracurricular activities,including focusing on the socialization of activity contents,emphasizing the diversification of activity forms,some problems of test-oriented activity purposes,homogenized activity subjects,which existed in English oral extracurricular activities,and the causes of the problems are analyzed,including the school mainly focuses on the student's grades;teachers have little awareness of the construction of extracurricular activity.The practice,cooperative,self-determination and competitive English oral extracurricular activities are designed with the combination of language competence,learning ability,thinking quality,cultural character and the concrete cases,and some reflective suggestions of designing the high school English oral curriculum have been put forward,such as,activity design should be based on the reality of life;activity types should be constantly intelligentized.During the one year of study and research,the author found that the English oral extracurricular activities can adapt to the new curriculum reform and the characteristics of the subject and improve students' interest and mobilize their initiative in oral English learning.It can promote the development of students' independent learning ability,thinking ability,communicative ability and comprehensive practical skills.Moreover,It can provide reference suggestions for high school English teachers in the design of oral English extracurricular learning activities,and innovate the traditional design mode of oral English extracurricular learning activities.What's more,It also can provide some advisory suggestions to other subjects' teachers in the design of learning activities.
