| Chinese traditional handicrafts have a long history and a wide variety,which contains the hard sweat and moving emotions of handmade craftsmen.Man is the creator of craftsmanship,and craftsmanship itself contains human wisdom and feelings.Persistence,love,insistence,and contradiction,which are the complex emotions of traditional craftsmen,support their determination to engage in craftsmanship for a long time.One person focuses on one thing.The simple and pure emotional attitude also deeply attracts the recipients.However,in this kind of documentary,their emotional expression is always relatively fragmented,single,and ignored.Therefore,in the creation of traditional handicraft documentaries,we will recognize the emotions of the craftsmen,grasp the ways in which the emotions of the characters are presented,study the creative methods of the externalization of the emotions of the characters,and deeply understand the inner world of the characters,so that the audience can get empathetic experiences,which can make more people know craftsmen and help the sustainable development of traditional handicrafts.In the creation of the graduation work "Private Dyeing House·Heyuxuan",the author has some creative techniques for the excavation and expression of the emotions of characters in traditional handicraft documentaries.Through literature analysis,case analysis,creative practice,and content analysis,this article discusses the externalization of character emotions into the following sections:The first part analyzes the development of traditional handicraft documentaries based on shooting cognition and conception,clarifies the status and characteristics of character emotions,elaborates the theoretical significance of character emotions in traditional handicraft documentaries,and discusses the conception method of character emotions in documentaries,which laid the foundation and pointed out the direction for documentary filming.The second part starts with the externalization and capture of emotions,expounds ways in which people ’s emotions are found and interpreted in the shooting.The articleproposes to explore the emotions of people through their daily life,event tasks,contradictions,and craftsmanship.Communicate with people through win-win,participation and friendship.Later,deeply explored and externalized the emotions of the characters from interviews,stories,and details.The third part starts with the editing and final presentation,sets forth the construction and presentation of the character emotions in the picture from the four aspects of the visual elements,the auditory elements,and the structure and rhythm of the final editing,expands the narration with excellent works of the same type and my own perception and experience in the process of creating the graduation work.It is expected to provide some experience and reflection for the future similar documentaries or character emotional expression in documentaries. |
