Chinese freehand painting has experienced long-term development in China since ancient times. While learning from western painting concepts and techniques,Chinese freehand oil painters have also inherited the spirit of freehand brushwork in traditional Chinese painting, they combined the brush strokes in traditional Chinese painting with oil painting materials, which made the works have both Western material expression and eastern aesthetic implication, and added more readability and drawing quality to the painting.Freehand oil painting is similar to the traditional Chinese freehand brushwork technique, which emphasizes the importance of image rather than form, and the color principle of western impressionism is abandoned. The Chinese freehand oil painters take the eastern and Western culture as the background, take the objective object image as the spirit carrier, they use the more subjective way processing the picture, causes the picture to have the freehand spirit core.Taking Zao Wou Ki,Shang Yang and Zhang Dongfeng as examples, this paper gives a brief account of their oil paintings and analyzes the freehand brushwork in their oil paintings to explore the Chinese freehand oil paintings and the personal creation of the writer. |
