Singing Analysis Of The Selection "Flying Toward The Sun" From The Opera "Farewell To Cambridge Again"

The opera "Farewell to Cambridge Again" is China’s first small theater opera.Since its premiere in 2001,it has been loved by the audience because of its elegance and poetry.The aria "Flying toward the Sun" has been performed many times by the vocal majors and vocal lovers due to its beautiful melody,dramatic structure,and tensioned range.In recent year,it has appeared repeatedly in a variety of singing competitions and concerts.Lei Jia added this opera aria to her doctoral graduation concert.I also sang this piece of work at my master’s degree concert.Through observation and practice,I have a deeper understanding and experience of this piece of work.This paper is divided into three parts,the first chapter briefly describes the opera creation background and character analysis;from the pronunciation,breathing,resonance cavity use and emotional processing of the four aspects of the aria,the second chapter make vocal music technology analysis on "Flying toward the Sun";from the three aspects of character image design,different singers singing contrast and personal stage practice,the third chapter make the analysis on the stage performance of "Flying toward the Sun".
