The Environmental Ethics Of Shigeru Iwasa And Its Contemporary Enlightenment

While building a well-off society in a well-off society and the socialism with Chinese characteristics having entered a new era,China’s ecological civilization construction has achieved remarkable results.However,the ecological environmental protection work still has a long way to go.Shigeru Iwasa is a famous environmental ethicist in Japan.Based on his research on industrial pollution and environmental problems in developed capitalist countries,he developed and enriched Marxist ecological thoughts and formed his own environmental ethics for environmental protection.This paper systematically combs the origin and formation process of Shigeru Iwasa ’s environmental ethics,and analyzes the influence of the western and Japanese environmental protection movements and the environmental ethics on Shigeru Iwasa from three aspects: social background,cultural background and theoretical sources.This paper analyzes the main contents of Shigeru Iwasa’s environmental ethics,and points out that Shigeru Iwasa takes the inevitable connection between economic production activities and ecological environment destruction as the starting point.By discussing the ethical values of the symbiotic relationship between man and nature,Shigeru Iwasa proposed an environmental ethic that presupposes environmental protection priority.Shigeru Iwasa advocated constructing environmental ethics from the perspective of science and society,and reflets the economic production activities of modern industrialized society by criticizing the logic of capital,and proposes that only by taking the ecological socialist road can the environmental protection be realized fundamentally.Shigeru Iwasa’s environmental ethics and Chinese ecological development concept have similarities in the origin of thoughts,and Iwasa’s environmental ethics thoughts have reference value for the construction of environmental awareness of Chinese people.
