The study is designed to explore the impacts of the Integrated Feedback on the English writing in senior high schools based on automatic assessment system,which combines online feedback with teacher and peer feedback.Writing teaching is exactly the weak link in English teaching in senior high schools.Some English teachers attach insufficient importance to writing and are reluctant to spend much time and energy correcting their students' writing.The English Curriculum Standards for Senior High Schools and the English Scoring Standards for College Entrance Examinations in 2017 put forward higher requirements for the accuracy of language expression in English writing and also emphasized the fluency and complexity of language expression.To solve the above problems,it is necessary to reform the mode of teaching and feedback of English writing in senior high schools.In the field of teaching research,feedback has always been considered as a necessary means to improve learners' learning ability,among which teacher feedback has long dominated.With the promotion of the learner-centered teaching concept,peer feedback has gradually been applied to English writing.Meanwhile,with the continuous development of the automatic evaluation system for writing,online feedback has gradually developed.In view of the limitation of each type of feedback,it is particularly important to combine various feedback methods to establish an Integrated Feedback mode.At present,some studies have started focusing on the Integrated Feedback,but the number of such studies is limited,and the research participants are mostly college students.With a combination of the theoretical analysis and the practical teaching,the present study is to deplore the impacts of the Integrated Feedback on the senior high school students' English writing.The specific research questions are as follows:1.How does the Integrated Feedback impact students' English writing achievement?2.How does the Integrated Feedback impact the complexity,accuracy and fluency in students' English writing?3.What's the most influential factor among complexity,fluency and accuracy in students' English writing achievement?The study is based on Assessment for Learning Theory and Noticing Hypothesis Theory.Through convenient sampling method,100 sophomores from two classes in a senior high school in Hebei province are selected as the research objects.In the twelve-week teaching,the two classes are taught the same content by the same teacher,but the experimental class adopts the Integrated Feedback and the control class uses the teacher feedback.The research instruments are tests,objective evaluation,students' compositions and peer evaluation criteria form.The purpose of tests is to explore the impact of Integrated Feedback on senior high school students' English writing achievement.Objective evaluation is used to check the impact of Integrated Feedback on the complexity,accuracy and fluency in students' English writing.The data are analyzed by the SPSS 19.0.The first two research questions are analyzed by independent sample T-test and paired sample T-test while the third one is analyzed by the multiple stepwise regression.The results are as follows:1.The senior high students' English writing achievement can be improved by the Integrated Feedback and the students' English writing achievement in the experimental class is significantly higher than that in the control class.2.The Integrated Feedback can improve the senior high students' English writing accuracy,fluency and syntactic complexity.But for the lexical complexity,there is no significant difference between the pre-test and post-test after the experiment.3.The accuracy and fluency are the most influential factors among complexity,accuracy and fluency in students' English writing achievement.Afterwards,the thesis analyzes and discusses the above research results,and the results indicate that with the Integrated Feedback,students can receive different types of feedback to revise their writings more immediately and effectively,which in turn improves their English writing achievement and writing level.Finally,this study also provides some relevant suggestions and implications to the students and teachers to promote efficient feedback and further improve senior high school students' English writing skills.
