The study of synonyms has always been an important part of the study of Chinese history,and the research results are quite rich.Verbs are the core of sentences,and verb research is an important part of syntax research.Zuozhuan and Shiji are long in length and large in vocabulary,involving a large number of military and war contents.Therefore,it is an ideal choice to study the victory verbs and defeat verbs in the two special books,from both synchronic and diachronic perspectives.This paper takes the verbs of victory and defeat in Zuozhuan and Shiji as the research content,and uses the methods of literature investigation,description,sentence French meaning combination and comparative study to make a comprehensive and systematic study of these two kinds of verbs.The purpose of this paper is to present the basic features of the quantity and usage of these two kinds of verbs,to explore new methods and procedures for the analysis and research of Chinese vocabulary,and to observe the similarities and differences between the victory and defeat verbs used in Zuozhuan and Shiji,showing the development of the victory and defeat verbs.The main contents of this paper are as follows: the first chapter is the introduction,pointing out the purpose,significance and methods of the research.Chapter two to chapter five respectively describe and analyze the victory and defeat verbs in Zuozhuan and Shiji.Firstly,with the help of special book dictionary,synonym dictionary and previous research results,the victorious and defeated verbs in Zuozhuan and Shiji are determined;secondly,the semantic unit features of verbs are described by means of semantic analysis,and their argument structure and metamorphic usage are analyzed according to the syntactic expression of verbs.Chapter six and chapter seven respectively make a comparative analysis of the verbs of victory and defeat,and make a diachronic comparison from the aspects of quantity increase and decrease,semantic unit comparison and usage change.It is concluded that,from Zuozhuan to Shiji,the vocabulary and syntax of victorious verbs have changed.The vocabulary of victorious verbs has changed,but the syntax has not changed.Generally,the syntax has changed less than that of vocabulary.
