In 1895,the film was born in the "Le Grand Café Capucines" of Capsin Road in France.In the same year,China and Japan signed the "Treaty of Shimonoseki",Taiwan was incorporated into the Japanese territory,becoming Japan's colony.In the same year,two things happened in the annals of history,it seems to tell the incomprehensible relationship between the film and Taiwan politics.The ethnic group that first lived on the Taiwanese island before the Han nationality moved to Taiwan was called the "Taiwanese aborigines." After Han nationality came to Taiwan,they experienced the rule of different regimes such as the Dutch,the Japanese,and the Kuomintang,the aborigines became more and more marginalized.They became a minority group in Taiwan and the object of being defined.At the Taiwanese films in this period,it show that Taiwan's aborigines are regarded as symbolic existences,and they are placed in the eyes of the "others" to define and present.Until the film "Seediq Bale" appear,which was called the emergence of an aboriginal epic film.Taiwan Aborigines were placed on the specific cultural customs of the ethnic group and the historical environment at the time to be seen.Taiwan aborigines as an equal ethnic group be presented in Taiwanese movies.Regarding the image of Taiwan's aborigines in the film,most of the academic achievements research on the aborigines were detailed and meticulous.On the basis of the predecessors,this article try to make a timeline for the image of Taiwan's aborigines in the film.That is to say,the image of Taiwan's aborigines in different films at different periods,.Explore why exist the different at different periods,and thinking about how Taiwan aborigines get rid of this situation as a symbolic aboriginal image become themselves through the changing trend of the image of Taiwan's aborigines in the film.This article selects the image of Taiwan's aborigines in Taiwanese films from the era of Japanese rule to the today.Through the combination of history and theory,combinedwith the political,economic,cultural and other backgrounds of the time,to arrange the image of Taiwan's aborigines during this period.The purpose of the research is as follows: First,to arrange the change of the image of the aborigines in the film;Second,What is the reason behind it--Taiwan aborigines are present from the object be described to the individual as an independent entity.;Third,more importantly,thinking about the psychological state of Taiwanese society at that time,by considering the differences in the image of the aborigines in different periods.What should we do under such circumstances?The torrent of history is rolling forward.Through the image of the Taiwanese aborigines in the movie,perhaps the feelings of Taiwan's complex entanglement since1895 may be felt.Arrange the change of the image of Taiwan aborigines in the film in the past 100 years,in order to understand the feelings of the people of Taiwan.
