The Structural Characteristics Of Oil Painting

This paper attempts to find out a formalized sense of order in the structure of painting by summarizing experience of artistic creation through a combination of the personal practice of painting and cognition of Paul Cézanne's artistic style.A series of subjects are thoroughly discussed in this article after carefully thinking,which includes structural characteristics in painting creation,the source of color creation,and how pursuing and reflecting the sense of volume of objects by means of painting.Paul Cézanne,as a French representative of Impressionism in the end of 19 th century,have a crucial influence on the formation of these views.Moreover,his work conveys his understanding of nature with of rational insights,leaving valuable spiritual wealth for posterity.Several works such as "Women's Body","Women's Body ?","Repose",and "Afternoon" "purple charm" in this paper were painted after deeply learning and researching a series of works of Cézanne.Briefly,this article summarizes author's personal learning and insight about the formalized sense of order of painting under the inspiration of Cézanne,and mainly discusses following topics including the open spatial structure,geometrical visual perception,color organizing structure and "realization" of color.
