"Post-Internet" originated from a concept of artistic criticism.Its background is the society after the Internet has been widely used.Post-Internet art is not necessarily an art attached to the Internet media,but an art that reflects the impact of the Internet and the Internet on culture and society.The post-Internet era corresponds to the flood of images,and people are no longer the era of the novelty of the last century.Image acquisition is easy and images are cheap.What we are facing is no longer a novel technical problem,but how to use the network image that has been enriched to "flooding" to respond to the general and fragmented cultural environment.The term post-network was coined by Marisa Olson in 2008 and spread in the West.Online art has just begun in China.There are not many references available.Therefore,I use Sigma Polke as the starting point to explore post-Internet art from the perspective of painting.Although Sigma Polke himself has not directly experienced the post-Internet era.(He died in 2010.)But his keen perception of images and society,ready-made products embezzle and subvert traditional expressions.For any post-network painting artist,it is a good research sample.The multiple narratives,material conversions,and semantic complexity in his paintings are precisely the breakthroughs we use to resist these "cheap and simple images" in the face of image flooding today.The precision of rationality in words often helps explain the true meaning lost in translation,as does the contemporary word,which literally means "zeitgen?ssisch" in German.This means that contemporary art must fully understand contemporary trends,just as post-web art should be aware of the Internet.Being "comrades" on the Internet means we have to understand it,use it,and react to it.In the post-Internet era.The nature of the image and the aesthetics of the masses have changed dramatically.Facing the era of "fragmentation",as an art creator,how to grasp and clearly establish the evolution of images,and to achieve aesthetic consciousness and individualconsciousness in their own image creation are their primary requirements.In the context of images in the post-web,art creators do not just create by means of modernism such as collage and embezzlement.The unique sense of "roughness" and "dissonance" and "stalk culture" are the salient features of the post-network.The author believes that the reasonable use of these factors can broaden the dimension of painting,make painting expression more diverse,and promote painting to have more new possibilities.
