The Research Of Using Circular Strokes In Copying And Creating About Wei Inscription During The Late Qing Dynasty And The Republic Of China

After the flourish of stele studies in the Qing dynasty,Wei inscription has become an example for scholars to learn.In the late Qing dynasty,Kang Youwei's extension of double pedals for the boat of art emphasized the pursuit of "outline" in Wei inscription and paid attention to the aesthetic cognition of "the stroke of square and circular",which had an important influence on the calligraphers' practice of copying and creating about Wei inscription in the late Qing dynasty and the Republic of China.This article focuses on the application of "circular strokes " about Wei inscription in copying and creating in the late Qing dynasty and the Republic of China which is concluded about three parts to discuss that is the explanation and specification of the "circular strokes" by the calligrapher.When the calligrapher in this period discussed the definition of "circular strokes ",not only from the angle of technique which include brushstrokes,structures,whole composition and so on to explain the shape and mode about the "circular strokes " also from the perspective of the calligraphic evolution and integrate to understand the relationship of seal character techniques and "circular strokes ",meanwhile they also carried on aesthetic research to writing effect caused by the "circular strokes " linked the "circular strokes " together with the aesthetic style about vigorous,free and natural in addition to interest and charm.When the calligrapher in this period expressed the calligraphic brush connection about "seal and clerical script and Wei inscription",through the transformation of writing tools,enhanced the way of stipple syllables,plus the pursuit of center and up front,making the calligrapher from the expression of copy the object and practical usage are all focused on represent the calligraphic brush in seal script.In the practice of using the calligraphic brush from Wei inscription transferred the cursive script,the calligrapher changed the length of the stipple,simplified the motion,enhanced the relationship about the stipple,so as to focused on the performance of the "circular strokes " texture,presenting a spontaneous and natural style of art works,making thestele theory calligrapher to practice the "complexion of the integration of Bei with Tie".According to research the problem about the application of "circular strokes" about Wei inscription in copying and creating in the late Qing dynasty and the Republic of China both help revealing calligrapher at this stage to Wei inscription of unique thinking and understanding its generated reason of writing practice and specific performance,for the contemporary and provide reference in the Wei inscription,for contemporary calligrapher of transferred to our cursive style of melt injection to breakthrough and innovation to provide some reference and inspiration.
