On Akutagawa Ryunosuke's Acceptance Of Poe

Akutagawa Ryunosuke,a famous short story writer in Japan,is known as "the writer of the study".Akutagawa is well-informed and knowledgeable.He has a deep understanding of not only Japanese local literature and Chinese literature,but also western literature.These reading experiences became the source and script of his artistic creation.Among them,Akutagawa showed a strong interest in Edgar Allan Poe,an American Gothic novel writer.On the basis of his inherent literature,he accepted and integrated Poe's aesthetic ideas and creative skills,and internalized them into his own literary creation.Based on the social and historical environment and literary ecological background at that time,from the perspective of comparative literature and receptive aesthetics,this paper explores how Akutagawa Ryunosuke selectively accepted Poe's aesthetic concepts and artistic skills under the cultural background at that time,and how he integrated them into his own creation.Based on this,the arrangement of the paper is as follows:The introduction part combs the research situation of the domestic and foreign novels,and points out the shortcomings of the domestic literature research.However,the research on the literary relationship between Akutagawa and Poe in China is almost blank.The first chapter mainly expounds the history of Poe's literary works in Japan,and the development trend of Poe's literature in Japan under the cultural background at that time.This provides an objective possibility for Akutagawa to accept Poe's literature.In addition,this chapter summarizes the collection of Akutagawa's literary works and his notes in his collection,which provides evidence for Akutagawa's acceptance of Poe's literature.In the second chapter,standing in the cultural background at that time,I investigate the acceptance and integration of Akutagawa's aesthetic thought.Based on the influence of his personality and environment,Akutagawa selectively accepted Poe's idea of art first,and based on this,accepted Poe's rational spirit to create.In addition,Akutagawa also accepted Poe's strange aesthetic and integrated it with the Japanese local ghost culture to create his own works.The third chapter focuses on Akutagawa's acceptance of Poe's literary skills.One is the acceptance of Poe's separate art,which is changed by Akutagawa based on his personal experience;the other is the use of Poe's objective realism,not only in the detailed description of the external environment,but also in the description of human psychological reality.The third is the acceptance and integration of Poe's symbolism.After learning the symbolism of Poe,Akutagawa combined it with his familiar images to create his own personalized worksThe conclusion part summarizes the acceptance points and reasons of Akutagawa's literature,and analyzes its historical value.
