The Chaling school,led by Li Dongyang,is one of the most influential literary school in Ming Dynasty.The works of the chaling school's literati are not only numerous,but also rich in types.However,there is little research on them.The study of philology is the basis of the literary research.A comprehensively and in-depth study of the Chaling school's literati is helpful to the deepening and expansion of the study of the Chaling school.According to the status and ranks of the members,the textual research on works of the Chaling school's literati can be divided into three parts.The first part is about Li Dongyang and Xie Duo,the leader and the early member of the Chaling school.The second part is about Shi Bao,Shao Bao,Gu Qing,Luo Qi,Lu Duo and He Mengchun,the six most important students of Li Dongyang.The third part is about Qiao Yu,Lin Jun,Zhang Bangqi,Sun Chengen,Wu Yan,Jin Gui,Chu Quan,Wang Jun,Qian Fu,Lu Shen,the other members of the Chaling school.The textual research of each person involves two aspects.The first is the overall situation of the works,including the content,compilation,publication,dissemination of them.The second is the specific situation of the anthology,including the process of writing and printing,the edition's origin,the characteristics of style and content.And then points out the selection problems of editions in existing researches.The comprehensive textual research of the Chaling school is not only the study of philology,but also can provide a perspective for the study of the Chaling school at the literary history level.It can be found by investigating the compilation of various works that the communication between the literati of the Chaling school is not only limited to the poetry socializing,banquet and travelling,but also involving each stage of a work's creation.The textual research of the Chaling school can provide a philological perspective for the formation of the Chaling school.
