Language And Culture Analysis Of Qianjiang Place Names

In this paper,all 2229 Qianjiang place names on the sky map are sorted into Word documents,and the Qianjiang place names are analyzed in combination with "Qianjiang County Records" and "Sichuan Qianjiang County Place Directory".From the perspective of language and culture,the language features and cultural connotation of Qianjiang place names are roughly analyzed.This article is divided into five parts,each part is as follows:This article first introduces the geography and history of Qianjiang and its ethnic composition in the introduction,and summarizes the research results of geographical names and the research status and methods of Qianjiang’s geographical names.The first chapter is the language analysis of Qianjiang place names.The author mainly analyzes Qianjiang place names from three angles of composition,use of words,and rhetoric.The common names are mostly selected based on the characteristics of Qianjiang ’s natural geographical environment,and the proper names are mainly animals and plants;Multiple rhetorical methods.The second chapter is the cognitive reason for Qianjiang place name naming.This paper analyzes the cognitive motives of Qianjiang’s geographical names from the perspectives of similarity,similarity,and categorization of human cognitive things,and carries out metonymy,metaphor,and categorization analysis on the proper names and generic names of Qianjiang’s geographical names,indicating When naming place names,they use existing experience to recognize new things,or use the correlation and similarity between things to name place names.The third chapter is the cultural connotation of Qianjiang place names.Finally,the history,farming civilization,and family culture of Qianjiang’s place names are revealed.Qianjiang has a long history.Qianjiang place names contain a rich history and culture,mainly due to the continuous battle between the chiefs in history to compete for sites.The formation of place names Inseparable from human production activities,many place names reflect the family cultural concept with the surname as the link;at the same time,peoplebelieve in and adore ghosts and gods,worship gods and buddhas,and the religious religious diversity has obvious characteristics;It is conducive to understanding the natural human geographical environment of Qianjiang,and the naming of place names reflects the regional cultural characteristics of Qianjiang.Finally,the conclusion of the article summarizes the main achievements and deficiencies of this article.The achievement lies in the analysis of the linguistic structure and rhetoric of Qianjiang place names.The disadvantage is that the author’s theoretical analysis of Qianjiang place names is insufficient.
