As an interdisciplinary subject covering art,history,sociology,philosophy and other fields,music history has its own complex attribute,which determines the research object it chooses has certain particularity.The history of music is not only the one of composers and works,but also the choice of research objects of the history of music;it's not only based on the artistry of the works,but also on whether the artistry of the works is consistent with the historical attributes of a given era.It is the fundamental task of the Research of the history of music to find out the internal relationship,mutual influence and interaction between the two contradictory attributes of the artistry and historicity of the works.Nielsen is one of the most important composers in Denmark in the 19th-20 th century.As a composer,Nielsen is famous for six symphonies,which have made important contributions to the development of symphony in the 20 th century.In Denmark,he is highly praised for creating a large number of high-profile songs,of which "51 school songs" are the most famous.These songs have played an important role in redefining the Danish national song tradition and condensing the nationalist ideology.Today,they still occupy the central position known as the "treasure house of Danish patriotic songs".The music form of "51 school songs" presents a simple style,which is a relatively simple work according to the standard of structuralism.However,this song creation style runs through the life of Nielsen,a composer who is famous for his modernist techniques in 20 th century,and has an important influence in the social and historical process of Denmark.The main body of the paper is divided into four parts.The first part is the assumption of the research problems of music history and the case proof,which mainly expounds the difficulties faced by the research of music history,the direction of efforts to solve the contradictions and the relevant overview of the case proof.The second part is a comprehensive analysis of the artistic characteristics of "51 school songs",including the text content and music form of the lyrics.The third part reveals the historicity of "51 school songs" and explores the reasons for the high social effect of "51 school songs" from the perspective of social environment and historical reasons.The fourth chapter is to judge the historical value of "51 school songs" according to the research results.According to the obvious contradiction between art and history of Nelson's "51 school songs",this paper takes it as a case to prove and explain.Through the analysis of the objective conditions such as the song itself and social and historical environment,it reveals the internal law of its emergence in history and its reaction to history,and its mutual influence with history,so as to provide reference for the related research of music history in China.
