The significance of developing the materialist conception of history lies in that it has eradicated all the idealist conception of history. Based on the realistic human and their practice, it makes an exposition on the unity of developing history of the mode of material goods production and human development of history. When studying the materialist conception of history, people used to attach importance to their understanding of it from the angle of social object but neglect expounding the process of formation, operation and fulfillment of the social historical kws from the angle of the subject of social history-human. Therefore it is easy to have the defect of "only seeing the object but neglecting the subject , thus it cannot show the position and function of human in the social history laws.
