Researching On The Re-creation Of Du Fu's Poems By Qi Shaonan From Qing Dynasty

Since the Middle Tang Dynasty,Du Fu himself and his poems had obtained the attention of the literary circles.Until the Song Dynasty,Du Fu especially became the general objects for study and imitation of the literati and scholar-officials.Various works of studying and researching Du Fu emerged accordingly,including the production of the creation of re-formation of Du Fu with Du Fu's poems as the re-formation objects.After the profound accumulation of the study on Du Fu during the Song Dynasty,Yuan Dynasty,and Ming Dynasty,such special form of the creation of re-formation of Du Fu's poems ushered the climax stage of creation in the Qing Dynasty,and a large number of the creations of re-formation of Du Fu's poems appeared,including the masterpieces like Qi Shaonan's The Creations Of Re-formation Of Du Fu's Poems.Qi Shaonan lived in the Qing Dynasty Kangxi and Qianlong Flourishing Age,the special academic fashions and family cultures made him get familiar with the quintessence of Du Fu's poems from his childhood.Furthermore,during the prime of his life,he suffered from a series of illnesses because of falling off a horse and having brain injury,thus he reluctantly retired and returned to his native place.Such experiences especially made him often find comfort from Du Fu's poems during his late aging and boring period,and create two volumes totaling 124 pieces of the creation of re-formation of Du Fu's poems.Such two volumes of The Creations Of Re-formation Of Du Fu's Poems had abundant contents,including scenery description and travel notes,reflections and ambition expressing,historic poems and meditation onthe past,and inscriptions & poems and paintings.The contents with the largest number of poems and high artistic values should be the poems of describing travel notes on Taizhou landscape,and most of his quoted Du Fu's poems were the verses of Du Fu's poems created in Shu Roads.Aiming at this feature,the author deeply explored the reason of Qi Shaonan liking to quote Du Fu's poems created in the Shu Roads from two aspects including the natural landforms and mental mechanism,and realized that Qi Shaonan's favor for the singular and steep landscapes and topographical advantages of the Shu Roads mostly originated from Du Fu's poems of the Shu Roads,and Qi Shaonan who retired and returned to his native place had many similarities in the physical and psychological circumstances with Du Fu during the period of walking in Shu Roads.In Qi Shaonan's poems of describing Taizhou landscapes,his acceptance for Du Fu's poems created in Shu Roads was mainly reflected in two aspects.In one aspect,for the poem styles,he realized the change of transforming the magnificent and fantastic style of Du Fu's verse of the Shu Roads to his elegant poem styles of Taizhou landscape poems through the ways of imagery,words and expressions,and rhymes.In the other aspect,for the artistic techniques,he inherited the three ways including“narrating in details” “representing picturesque landscapes” “expressing thoughts and feelings” in Du Fu's poems created in Shu Roads to depict the features of Taizhou landscapes,and expressed his complicated inner emotions in his elderly period.Furthermore,Qi Shaonan's tendency of worshipping Du Fu also included his inheritance of Du Fu's spirit of “history of poetry”,thus made the two volumes of The Creations Of Re-formation Of Du Fu's Poems have the values for history of poetry in three aspects including reflected the social and political features of the Qing Dynasty Qianlong Period,supplemented the lacks of research in Taizhou's local historical data,and the biography of Qi Shaonan.
